new Gantz Graf wallpapers!

offline oscillik from the fires of orc on 2004-04-15 17:37 [#01144933]

i've got some more screengrabs taken from the gantz graf
dvd if anyone's interested?

7 screenshots in all, taken from the slide show gallery on
the disc (because the video footage has those scanlines on
it, and that wouldn't work too well with wallpaper!)

they're all in 1024x768

if anyone's interested i'll upload them as a zip file to my
ftp site

not really, because my iBook's max res is 1024x768

the only way to get a larger res is to resize the 1024x768
version

sorry mate :(

yep, the milkman sample deciphering was me too ;)

thank you very much!

i do kinda feel like "yeh, i've found out something no-one
else found out before in the entire world!!!!!"

yeh, i feel really pleased with myself, i mean it's a big
achievement for me, that I...oscillik have reverse
engineered an originally unintelligible Aphex sample!

anyways, i hope you enjoy the wallpapers :)

yeh i use a Mac, because

1) I don't get BSODs everytime I try to do anything
intensive

2) I can burn a CD at 24x while surfing the net, watching a
high resolution movie and listening to music simultaneously

3) I can emulate a PC (if I need to use windblows), and it
does a Pentium II 500MHz system

4) It's UNIX based

3) I don't need to emulate a mac because macs suck.

machine. and btw why the hell do you want to be listening to
music, watching a movie and surfing the next at the same
time. thats just a bit pointless is it not?

Actually oscillik is right,
I can't do that when I try to burn a CD, the buffer will go
down and everything lags to hell just trying to open a new
explorer window. But it might be because my hard-drive is
full and fragmented, I've only got like 8GB free space
left.

--->but Macs are still anal style, by boys.

so what if he's right?

he uses it as if it's a viable argument - I don't
specifically want a machine that can do all that crap at
once. it's pointless. therefore the argument doesn't mean a
lot.

I wouldn't want to listen to music and watch a film at the
same time whilst browsing the web and burning a CD.

Unless:

1) I was watching a silent movie

2) I had Attention Deficit Disorder

Macs are OK. But Ill stick with something that has it's own
kernel that's stable and is user friendly.

Mac OSX looks fancy but a new user looking at would just go.
FUCK! What the hell do I do?

By the way. Apple and Microsoft copy each other anyway so ti
doesn't matter what features one has the other one doesn't.
The other will soon have them too.

if you've got Photoshop CS, you could try resizing using
Bilinear (sharpest) setting, i've found that one usually
produces good results when resizing :)
